The 2017 Indiana 4-H Congress is presented each year by Indiana 4-H Foundation in partnership with Purdue University Cooperative Extension Service and Indiana 4-H Youth Development and with generous support from sponsors CountryMark, Ceres Solutions, Beacon Ag Group, Dow AgroSciences, Farm Credit Mid-America, Harvest Land, and the Indiana State Department of Agriculture.
The 2017 4-H Congress Scholarship Luncheon was held October 14 at the Farm Bureau Building at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Forty-three youth received scholarships for outstanding achievement. These scholarships are made possible thanks to many generous donations to the Indiana 4-H Foundation. The emcee for the luncheon was Kevin Gregory, RTV6 Chief Meteorologist and father of two ten-year 4-H members. The entertainment for the luncheon was presented by the Purduettes, from the Purdue Musical Organizations.
This year, there was a special appearance by First Lady of Indiana, Janet Holcomb. Mrs. Holcomb was a 4-H member in Delaware County and made remarks during the luncheon.
